10.30am to 8.30pm daily

Maternity Suite
3.00pm to 4.30pm and
6.30pm to 8.00pm.
Please avoid visiting or telephoning maternity patients during their Rest Period - 1.00pm to 3.00pm daily. (Partners and siblings excepted.)

Intensive Care
10.00am to 1.00pm
3.00pm to 8.00pm
On arrival at the Mater please report to the front Reception desk in the Foyer to inquire about the location of the patient you wish to visit.

• Visitors are advised that for the comfort of yourself and patients to refrain from visiting the hospital if you are not well.
• Please respect patients' needs for rest and relaxation at all times.
• For the comfort of other patients, visitors are requested to supervise visiting children.

A Visitors' Lounge on each floor provides a comfortable and relaxing area for patients and visitors, with a pleasant outlook across landscaped gardens and the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers.

The Coffee Shop and the Courtyard on the ground floor provide alternative areas to meet patients.

In special circumstances visitors, usually family members, may order meals for a small charge. Requests should be authorised by the Nurse Manager of the Unit and coordinated by the Catering Department.

Smoking is not allowed in the hospital. For the comfort of others and for the sake of your own health - do not smoke.

Please avoid the use of mobile telephones while within the Mater Hospital as they may interfere with electronic medical equipment. Staff carry mobile telephones that operate on different frequencies that do not interfere with medical equipment.
