The Mater will telephone patients who are staying one or more the day before admission, to confirm time of arrival. If you have not received a telephone call by 2.00pm the day prior to your admission please, call the Pre-Admission Clinic Manager on (02) 9900 7494. You may wish to have pen and paper ready for the call.
Joint replacement patients are encouraged to visit the Pre-Admission Clinic before their hospital stay. The purpose of this clinic is to educate and inform patients of the procedures and reassure them about what to expect during and following their hospital visit. It allows an assessment of patient health, planning for rehabilitation and referrals to a specialist if required.
